If you could hire someone that could do all of these things for you and more,                and only pay them $2.00 an hour (more than the cost of the Lights Program),                   would you do it ? ? ? 

We know that the lagging economy is foremost in the mind of every lighting showroom owner in America. With sales down and gloomy forecasts for the future, the price of energy fluctuating, and politics putting uncertainty in the air, why would I spend money now on a software package when I'm looking at every way possible to cut expenses?

The people at SoftLight are lighting showroom people just like you, and we're reducing our overhead too. But we can't do it by just cutting back advertising, laying-off people, or changing our delivery policy. · What discounts are being given to customers and who is approving them?

A Good Software Program :
 
· Requires passwords to change customer pricing or grant discounts.
· Looks up the price paid when a customer wants to return an item and requires a password ….to deviate from the return policy.
· Matches a supplier's invoices against your purchase orders and makes sure you are not ….overpaying, paying for things you didn't receive, or missing credits.
· Controls defective fixtures and makes sure you get replacements or your money back from ….the manufacturer.
· Tells you when items need to go on-display.
· Can change all the prices for a manufacturer in seconds and reprint new price tags so you ….aren't still selling at the old price weeks after the prices change.
· Can code your price tags so you're not doing the work and then losing the job to the ….showroom down the street or an internet site across the country.

Password approval to change a sales price
Automatic price look-up for returns
Compare po's to manufacturer's billing
Password invoices to customers on credit hold
Prevent unauthorized discounts and pricing
Tighter control of sales people
Don't be overbilled by a supplier
Keep receivables under control

It is more important now to pay close attention to these details than in a booming economy. Every penny counts. If you don't have a software package that gives you these controls, then you really should get one. It has never been more important.
